Construction Odyssey Done (Almost)

Well we finally got all the major construction done on the house. For those of you who didn’t know what we were doing, we basically extended our garage from one to two cars, brought it forward six feet and pushed the family room 3 feet into the garage space. So the garage is much wider and three feet longer. Now we got lots of space for more stuff. :O)

Gorage Outside

Inside we got the kitchen, family room and bath all new hardwood floors. And we added an island and silestone counter-tops. To top it off we also got new appliances, a cook-top stove (much better than the old element stove) and a side-by-side fridge.

Ok, at least the major stuff is done. The contractor still has to put gutters on the garage, or he dosen’t get his last check. After that, we just have painting, furniture, garage organizing, gardening, and a multitude of other things to do before we are truly done. Oh well, we will have stuff to keep us busy when we return from Mexico..

Next entry should be from Texas, so stay tuned, we are about to hit the road again!!!
